Course Overview

This course is aimed at anyone who is passionate about dogs. Whether you are a dog groomer, dog walker, existing or potential dog owner this course will give you the knowledge and skills required to deal first aid situations that commonly occur. This 1 day course will provide an overview of some of the common first aid situations that could occur in day to day life and aims to equip you with the knowledge of how to confidently deal with them, as well as safe handling techniques to ensure your personal safety. The course is delivered by a qualified Veterinary Nurse who is experienced in all aspects of First Aid. There will be some practical group work throughout the day and tea/coffee will be provided. Please bring your own lunch. Learners will receive a certificate of attendance after the course. Topics that are covered will include handling and restraint, emergency treatment for a range of common first aid scenarios, CPR, and first aid kits.

Assessment Methods

This course has no requirement for formal assessment. However, learners will be provided with continuous feedback when completing any practical tasks.
