Our Animal Management Centre provides an industry-standard environment where students can develop hands-on skills, work with a wide range of species, and gain real insight into professional animal care settings.

The centre is divided into several specialist areas designed to support practical learning, behaviour study and animal husbandry.

Specialist animal areas

Nocturnal room

Allows students to explore behavioural differences between nocturnal and diurnal species.

Exotic & Amphibian species

Home to snakes, lizards, tortoises, turtles, frogs, newts, and toads.

Aquatic facilities

Featuring both cold-water and tropical fish tanks, with species from across the globe.

Paddock areas

Outside, you’ll find areas housing llamas, sheep, goats, otters, meerkats, and ponies.

Farm animal access

with Rodway Farm just around the corner, you’ll have access to dairy, beef, sheep, and pig units.

The Centre’s veterinary nursing suite provides a professional space for carrying out routine health checks, diagnostics, and care procedures. It features a dedicated nursing room, isolation unit, and clinical zones designed to mirror real-world veterinary environments.

Term Dates
