The National College for Nuclear (NCfN) is a state-of-the-art nuclear training centre, demonstrating the UK’s commitment to developing highly skilled professionals for the 21st-century nuclear industry.

Advanced training for careers in the Nuclear industry

The NCfN delivers industry-led technical training programmes to learners of all levels, from school leavers to degree-level students and apprentices, across Level 2 to Level 6 programmes, T Levels, and higher education courses.

The Southern Hub has been designed to give students a realistic and practical experience of the nuclear industry, blending classroom learning with hands-on activities. Learners have access to a wide range of specialised facilities that allow them to develop both technical skills and workplace confidence.

Term Dates

The academic year, which starts in September, is split into three terms: autumn, spring, and summer. Terms are separated by Christmas, Easter and the summer holidays, respectively.
