UCS College Group is celebrating the exceptional achievements of Tom Middleton, who is studying Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Cannington College. His remarkable recent performances have positioned him among the top young shooters in the UK. His success has now earned him selection to represent Great Britain at the European Championships in Bulgaria this February.
Tom has delivered an impressive series of results across several major competitions in recent weeks. Last month, he competed at the Schools Competition in Cardiff, winning Gold in the Youth Team event and reaching the Individual Final. He then went on to achieve three new personal bests over three consecutive days at the Welsh Open.
Continuing his outstanding form, Tom recently took part in the Schools Regional Competition (South West)Â at Lewiston School, Dorset, where he finished 2nd overall, missing out on the top spot by just one point, and securing an Individual Silver Medal.
Most recently, Tom competed at the ESSU English Championships, where he earned a place in the open final (men’s/junior category). This impressive achievement places him among the top eight shooters in England. He also achieved another personal best and was ranked 3rd Junior in England.
Tom’s consistent performance and rapid progression have now led to his selection for the Great Britain team at the European Championships, where he will represent his country on the international stage.
We are incredibly proud of Tom and all he has achieved so far. Combining his shooting alongside his academic studies is highly commendable. Representing Great Britain is a tremendous honour, and we are excited to support him as he prepares for the European Championships.
