Employees in countryside management roles looking to increase their management, supervisory and project planning skills in the outdoor sector.

Countryside Rangers are found in organisations that are responsible for managing the countryside & natural environment as well as carrying out community engagement and public access works.

A Countryside Ranger would be responsible for the daily management, maintenance, conservation and protection of the natural environment and will inspire people about the natural environment and encourage them to engage with their local green spaces.

Assessment takes place throughout your course, including online courses, learning journals to record practical skills, project work, and review visits with assessors.

Progression Options

Progression from this apprenticeship could lead to higher level qualifications in ecology, environmental science, water management, countryside management and a host of roles with a variety of organisations such as the Environment Agency or National Trust.

Entry Requirements

You will need English Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE grade 4 or above, Mathematics Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE grade 4 or above, and a Science GCSE grade 4 or above.
