  • Plant and soil science
  • Tree identification, planting, and aftercare
  • Tree-felling and ground-based chainsaw operations

This qualification includes a mixture of classroom learning, practical skill development, and on-the-job experience during an industry placement.

Progression Options

On successful completion of the course, and when meeting the grade and GCSE requirements, you could progress to a T Level or an appropriate Level 3 programme (subject to a successful interview).

Alternatively, you could progress onto an Apprenticeship if you decide a work-based route is more appropriate for you.

Entry Requirements

You need five GCSEs in the 9 to 3 range, with a grade 3 in English and maths. A keen interest in the topic is vital. Entry is subject to a successful interview.
