Course Overview

This unique course allows you to consider not only developing your skills for your own garden but an opportunity to design a project area or use your own garden.. We will look at the site objectives and the design brief, budgeting, sourcing and designing gardens.

  • Simple planting plans and considerations
  • Managing the build/ working with others
  • Successful planting and establishment

This is a non-accredited course and includes no formal assessments.

Progression Options

Other horticultural courses can be found on the College website, a range of day and short courses allow flexible learning. Academic applications for Practical and theory courses, which include RHS Level 2 Practical Horticulture, RHS L2 Theory (principles of plant growth and development) and BTCC Introduction to practical horticultural skills along with The Principles of Sustainable Horticulture.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course excepting an enthusiasm to learn more about garden design principles in the company of like-minded individuals.
