Course Overview

If your job involves applying pesticides in a commercial role then you are legally required to hold an appropriate Certificate of Competence by the Control of Pesticide Regulations. You should have already successfully achieved the foundation module (PA1).

This qualification is designed specifically for those who wish to apply pesticides using various types of handheld applicators. Options delivered at this College include hydraulic nozzle and atomiser (PA6A) or hydraulic atomiser and rotary nozzle near water (PA6AW). Assessment Methods

Theory and practical assessments will be carried out by an Approved Assessor.

Progression Options

You could progress to the L2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticides using Self Propelled Mounted or Trailed Horizontal Boom Sprayers (PA2).

Entry Requirements

You must 16 years old or over to do this course. You need to have completed the Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1).
