Important Update: Red Weather Alert – College Arrangements

A red weather alert has been issued for our region for Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June 2026. The safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, visitors and animals is our priority, and we are putting temporary measures in place while the alert remains in force.

Teaching and Learning – Wednesday 24 & Thursday 25 June

• All teaching will move to online learning on these days
• Please do not attend the College
• Tutors will contact students with details about remote sessions and any adjusted activities
• For our Cannington College residential students onsite arrangements are being reviewed and adjusted so that residential students can spend time in air‑conditioned areas where possible.

Events

Taunton College Open Evening on Tuesday 23 June will go ahead as planned, with appropriate heat‑related measures in place.

The following events are postponed and will be rearranged when possible:

• Bridgwater College Open Evening – Thursday 25 June – postponed
• New Student Welcome Days – Wednesday 24 June – postponed
• Student Awards Ceremony – Wednesday 24 June – postponed
