Getting to college made simple

Home to our specialist land-based and nuclear facilities, Cannington College offers a unique learning environment within the UCS College Group.

Bridgwater College has numerous buses arriving each day, with dedicated connecting buses to transfer you directly to and from Cannington.

You may be eligible for financial help towards the cost of bus travel through the 16-19 Bursary Support Fund. We also offer free parking, with designated zones for mopeds and bicycles.

By Bus

To get the bus to Cannington College, you will need to catch a connecting bus from Bridgwater College.

Bridgwater College has approximately 24 buses arriving and leaving every day, with several shuttle buses to Cannington running.

By Train

Bridgwater is on the main train line from Bristol to Exeter, and the College is only a ten-minute walk from the station, where you can then transfer to a connecting bus which will take you directly to Cannington College.

By Car

If you need to drive to college, we have limited free parking at each facility at Cannington with designated areas for disabled parking and mopeds.

Keep track of when and where you need to be

The vast majority of direct collection times for Cannington routes fall between 7.20am and 8am, connecting through to campus by 9.20am.

Students using direct services from the furthest points need to be ready early. The earliest direct pick-up is from Shurton at 7.20am on Route 14.

Students traveling via the Weston-super-Mare (Alfred Street) Route 611 service need to be in place for 7.43am.

If you are connecting via Bridgwater College shuttle (Route 625), you have a much later window, with connection options departing the Bridgwater minibus park at 8.55am and 9am daily.
